The football season is now heading into the final stretch - and some
fans are dreaming about 'trebles' for their teams.

Manchester United moved past Marseille last night and are now fourth
favourites to lift the Champions League (Barcelona are favs),
favourites to win the Premier League and also favourites to win the
FA Cup.

North of the border Celtic are all the rage, and are just 5/2 to

Cricket World Cup - back this host nation at 3/1...

The ICC World Cup is currently in full swing in India - this
tournament is the pinnacle of One-Day cricket - 14 countries
competing for the title of 'best One-Day side in the world.'

I have to admit to being a much bigger fan of the One-Day game than
I am of 20/Twenty.

The fact that we get 50 overs per innings ensures that these top
class players get a real chance to show their cricket skills, rather
than the slash and bash of 20/Twenty, where a side only has 20 overs
to make an impression.

And that's good news for bettors like us, who don't want a match
decided by how many lucky or unlucky 'edges' a team gets. We want
players to be able to produce their real form - and the team I want
us to be on here are...

India

India are co-host of this World Cup, and the majority of games will
be played in their country - 29 World Cup games in India, including
a semi-final and the final, 12 games will be played in Sri Lanka
including a semi final, and 8 games in Bangladesh.

That gives India a massive home advantage.

Cricket is loved more fervently and by more people in India than
anywhere else in the world, and this team will be off for their
lives.

They played 28 games last year and won 17 of them - and when they

tournament, in November - they won by 5 wickets.

This is a very strong side all round, there is no doubt that India
would have a great chance wherever the World Cup was played. But at
home, on wickets they are totally familiar with and will have a
measure of control of - they look every inch the worthy favourite to
be world champs.
