Capello 5/4 to be gone by end of World Cup

Monday 28th June 2010

Fabio Capello is 5/4 with Skybet to leave his position as England manager before the end of the World Cup in South Africa – the final is on July 11th

England's dismal display at the World Cup which culminated with a humiliating 4-1 defeat at the hands of old rivals Germany yesterday has put Capello's future as England manager in serious doubt. William Hill are offering 11/10 that Capello will leave his position by the end of the year.

Most bookies have already priced up their 'Next England Manager' markets with Fulham's Roy Hodgson and Tottenham's Harry Redknapp at the head of the betting. Both are available at a best priced 7/2 at the moment.

You can get 1/3 with William Hill that the next England manager will be English – its 9/4 that the FA will go with another foreign manager.
