England are the 6/5 favourites to host the Football World Cup in 2018.

FIFA representatives are currently on a tour of the stadiums throughout the country. The tours also include presentations on hotels, transport and security.

Russia's chances of hosting the event have been hit by a reported racist banner being uncovered by Lokomotiv Moscow fans regarding an ex-player who has recently left the club for West Brom.

Russia are still the second favourites behind England but have drifted out to 9/4 from 2/1 after the incident.

Joint hosts Portugal and Spain are next in the betting at 4/1 with Belgium and the Netherlands at 14/1. The USA who hosted the competition in 1994 are currently 25/1.
