| Murray 2/1 for Wimbledon after Federer knocked out |
Thursday 1st July 2010
Andy Murray is now as short as 2/1 to win Wimbledon after the favourite and reigning champ Roger Federer was knocked out in the Quarter Finals yesterday…
Federer lost 3-1 to Tomas Berdych – the first time the 6-time Wimbledon winner has failed to make it to the end of the tournament since 2002.
Murray won his Quarter Final, beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 3-1, and will face World No.1 Rafael Nadal in the Semis on Friday. The other Semi Final sees Novak Djokovic take on Federer's conqueror Berdych.
The bookies make Nadal the outright favourite to win Wimbledon at a best price 5/4 with Boylesports, followed by Murray at 11/4 with Boylesports, Djokovic at 5/1 with Skybet and Berdych the outsider at 11/2 with Boylesports.
