Jose Maria Olazabal was named European Ryder Cup captain today. The two-time major winner will take over from successful captain Colin Montgomerie whose European team beat the USA at Celtic Manor last November.

'Monty' is just 1/2 with Coral to be named one of the vice captains when the European team travel to the Medinah Country Club in Chicago next year.

The USA are currently available at 11/10 to win the Trophy back on home soil. With Europe at 6/5 – the 'tie' is an 11/1-shot.
