Gordon Strachan is Skybet's favourite to be the next Middlesbrough manager after the club sacked Gareth Southgate last night. 

Boro' chairman Steve Gibson had already made his decision to let Southgate go before their 2-0 home win over Derby last night.  

Middlesbrough currently sit 4^th in the Championship 1 point of the top. 

Ex-Celtic manager Strachan is clearly the bookies favourite to take over at the North East club. He was 1/2 on but that's been cut to 1/6 by Skybet. Former Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan is next in the betting at 5/1, followed by Alan Curbishley at 10/1.
