After their heroics in the Confederations Cup last week, USA's odds have tumbled for the World Cup… 

Team USA beat Spain in the semi finals, and were 2-0 up on Brazil in the final – eventually losing 3-2. Someone on Betfair had the Americans at max odds of 1,000/1 back in the group stages – so I hope they traded that off before Brazil started their comeback. 

USA were 200/1 for the World Cup before kick off last night. But now they're 60/1 on Betfair – that's a big price drop overnight. After last night's win, Brazil are joint-favourites with Euro champions Spain, at 5/1. 

And it seems England fans are getting excited again – Capello and the boys are just 6/1 with Ladbrokes. Behind the World Cup, tonight's Euro Under 21 final between England and Germany is the most popular football market on Betfair – a cool £325,000 had been matched by 5pm, with kick off not 'til 7.45pm.
