| Webber in pole position for F1 title |
Monday 27th September 2010
Mark Webber is the 2/1 bookies' favourite to win this year's Formula 1 Drivers' Championship. The Australian who finished 3rd in the Singapore Grand Prix yesterday has an 11-point lead over two-time world champion Fernando Alonso – who took the chequered flag in yesterday's race. Alonso is available at best priced 4/1 for a third drivers' crown.
Webber's Red Bull team mate Sebastian Vettel is next in the betting at 7/2 after he finished 2nd in Singapore – he's 21 points behind his team mate in the Drivers' Championship.
Britain's Lewis Hamilton who crashed out of yesterday's race is now 8/1 with his McLaren team-mate and reigning champion Jenson Button 22/1.
There are 4 more races to go in this season's championship with the Japanese Grand Prix next (8th – 10th October).
