| William Hill pay out on Pompey going down... |
Friday 26th February 2010
With the news that Portsmouth will become the first team in Premier League history to go into administration today – William Hill have paid out on the crisis club being relegated.
The price of going into administration is a 9-point penalty from the Premier League - meaning Pompey will go from 16 points to just 7 – a massive 17 points off safety. They were already bottom of the table. Portsmouth are now 1/1,000 to be relegated and 12/1 to 'Stay Up'.
At the start of the season Portsmouth were a 7/1-shot to go down. They travel to fellow strugglers Burnley on Saturday.
