Woods and McIlory could put a big hole in the bookies' pockets!

Golf's third major of the year The Open Championship will get underway at Turnberry on Thursday - and Victor Chandler will be hoping for a shock result from this year's tournament…

Victor will be praying that neither Tiger Woods or Rory McIlory are holding up the famous Claret Jug come Sunday night.

They've built up a large liability on Irish youngster McIlory all year - he's been backed from 100/1 down to 20/1.

And as usual, big money has been coming in on the three time champ and tournament favourite Tiger Woods.

Victor Chandler say they've taken a large amount of money on Woods over the past couple of weeks, including four-figure bets on him at 5/2 and a five-figure one at the 2/1 currently available.

Second favourite Sergio Garcia is a 22/1 shot. While double Open Champion Padraig Harrington is a best priced 33/1 with Coral and Sportingbet to land his 3rd title in a row.
